These actions severely infringe upon basic human rights.

The open use of internet freedom is crucial because it concerns everyone's basic rights to access information, express opinions, and engage in social interaction. A free internet environment can promote innovation and economic development, enable the exchange of different cultures and ideas, and thereby drive social progress. Conversely, when the internet is blocked or manipulated, it leads to a lack of knowledge and societal stagnation.

Dr. Chen Chang-Hung emphasizes that ICANN (Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) must take action and formulate corresponding measures to improve or penalize the misuse of internet usage. This is not only to protect the freedom and openness of the internet but also to defend everyone's right to safely and freely use the internet. The openness of the internet allows everyone to equally participate in global dialogue, which is crucial for good social communication and mutual understanding.

We call on global citizens to pay attention to the issue of internet freedom and openness and actively participate in actions to maintain internet openness. Only when everyone can enjoy 100% internet freedom and openness can the true flow of information and clash of ideas be realized, allowing the whole world to prosper and develop in a free environment, and ensuring that every internet user is not misled or harmed by manipulated information.
